Summer has begun for me, meaning that I can focus more on the things I should be focusing on. I saw a Vine yesterday themed to the show Lost and while I never saw the show, it inspired me to get back in the stop motion game. It reminded me of something I did a few years ago that I didn't realize is a common way to animate.
With yesterday being my last quarter-of-a-day as a junior in high school, I went out with some friends to see the new Trek. It was good, but I'm not much of a Star Trek person. I liked the first one better and there were elements of Into Darkness that were great. The Indian aliens at the opening were great and the ring explosion scene was fantastic. I don't think I got into the story too much. I also got to see a friend working at AMC! I was more happy about that than the movie.
After Trek ended, we walked over to a used book store and then Barnes & Noble. I've been thinking of getting a job there so I filled out an application last night for summer hiring. It's a great ambience. I've always loved it for that. Also picked this [link] up while I was there! $30 discounted to $10 (and it's hardback)!
